Historic Maine in 3-D @ the Schoolhouse Museum Wednesday, June 10th at 6:30PM

Come join us as Poland Historical Society welcomes Bernard Fishman, Director of the Maine State Museum on Wednesday, June 10th at 6:30pm.  The presentation is called "Historic Maine in 3-D" and he will share pictures of 19th century Maine using  "stereoviews" - a most popular type of commercial photography at that time. You would find  an album of stereoviews in every comfortable Victorian parlor and of course, a handheld viewer known as a stereoscope.

3-D glasses will be provided to get the full effect of the double imaged stereoview.

The Schoolhouse Museum, 1229 Maine Street, now has an air conditioner for the summer months. Refreshments will be served. For more information, call Jack Rozos at 998-5268.
