FIRE RESCUE - 2 FULL TIME POSITIONS

The Town of Poland is recruiting for two (2) full time positions to join our fire rescue team.  These positions will work a rotating 12-hour day shift opposite each other. This will be a 42-hour work week. Poland Fire Rescue is a combination department responding to 1200 calls annually.

Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Candidates must be a minimum of eighteen (18) years of age at the time of application
Applicant must pass a physical agility test
Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license with the ability to obtain a State of Maine driver’s license within thirty (30) days
Current EMT (paramedic preferred) licensure in good standing, candidates will be required to maintain EMS licensure
Firefighting experience preferred; must obtain Firefighter I & II Pro Board Certification within two (2) years of hire date

FULL TIME PUBLIC WORKS EMPLOYEE

The Town of Poland is currently accepting applications for a full time 40hrs a week opening in its Public Works Department.  Position requires heavy equipment operating experience and Class B CDL (Class A preferred). This is a busy, fast paced safety conscious department. This is not your typical sit in the break room and wait for it to snow public works job. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, be self-motivated, energetic, willing to take direction, have a minimum of 3 years heavy equipment operating experience and possess a valid Class B CDL (Class A preferred). PART TIME LIBRARY ASSOCIATE - FILLED

The Town of Poland is seeking a part time Library Associate.  This job requires you to provide skillful and friendly service to patrons and to assist in performing the day-to-day operations of the Library with an emphasis on developing and implementing children's programming such as Summer Reading, Preschool Story Time and the Tween/Teen Programs.  This is 16 hours per week with a pay rate of $17.13 per hour.

PART TIME TRANSFER STATION ATTENDANT - FILLED

The Town of Poland is seeking a part time Transfer Station Attendant.  This job requires you to be in the elements and to stand for up to an entire shift length of ten hours.  Applicants must pass a physical, drug screening and possess a motor vehicle license.  20 - 30 hours per week, the transfer station is open from 7 AM - 5 PM on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Mondays.  To apply please submit an application to the Town Office or [email protected].

FULL TIME CUSTODIAN BUILDINGS AND GROUNDS
MAINTENANCE DIRECTOR

The Town of Poland is seeking a Custodian Buildings and Grounds Maintenance Director.  This position is responsible for performing general cleaning, and routine maintenance work and in the Town Office, Town Hall, Library, Police Substation, Old School House, Camp Connor, and the recreational facilities that include the skate park, baseball fields and beaches.

The Town of Poland is recruiting for one (1) full time position to join our fire rescue team.  This position will work a rotating 24 hours on shift with 72 hours off shift with our other full-time staff.  Poland Fire Rescue is a combination department with staffing levels at four (4) members on duty from 0600-1800 and two (2) members on duty 1800-0600.
